Okayyyy...soo I guess I should start this story from the beginning, since it's longer than this site has been around. in August, I bought a new Sidekick08. LOVE it. blah blah...2 days after Christmas, it was just sitting on my desk and it committed suicide...it just decided to restart, and restart, and restart forever. so I wait a few weeks to go exchange it at the store, and they say they can't do that...so I have to send it in...so I mail it on Jan 9th to get a crappy refurb...and the mail looses it on Jan 10. so I wait however many days usps [yes..they hate me too, not just groundCtrl] and I file my insurance claim... they tell me it should be less than 4 weeks.......well that less than 4 weeks turned into 4-6 weeks....and then ultimately ended up being 8 and a half weeks.
so anyways..I get my money for my phone finally.....but we don't have a car to drive up to greenwood [45 minutes away..closest tmobile store] so I've been trying to get up there for weeks. my parents are coming on sunday, and we're going to go up to greenwood for my niece's birthday party, and then my mom will take me to tmobile afterward to get my phone. yay right?
well not quite, cuz now my friend just told me about the new sidekick that's coming out on May 13. sidekick lx 09. it's got a huge screen, super awesome camera, 3g [even tho that doesn't work where I live, but it works other places when we travel.] it's got twitter apps, and plays youtube videos, and it's just overall way cooler....only problem...aside from having to wait ANOTHER MONTH [which I'm willing to do for this], I have $300 to spend....and the skLX09 costs $450. UGH. there's no way I can get another $150 by May 13, because we have bus tickets we need to buy for May 14-17 and food and stuff that we'll need for those days when we're out in Virginia/Maryland for Papa Roach.
SO...the question is....do I WAIT IN AGONY until I can get another $150...which will probably be like JUNE. or actually..might even be later than that because we're also trying to get a down payment together for a car.. agh... and then figure out how to get up to Greenwood when I have it...or do I just get my sidekick08 again in two days from now? the pros for getting my 08 back are, I have an extra battery from my old one so I can switch them if my battery dies [which honestly, I probably won't ever do..since I can't charge the extra battery without it being in the phone]...I'll have it sooner than JUNE....and I can use the cool customizable shells..that I already have a couple of...which was kind of a selling point for me back when I got it the first time.
AUAHGAHGHYAGHUAUGH...my brain isn't working. guh..

i want a sidekick.. the only reason i want one is because i want a sidekick shell of PAPA ROACH. yes yes sad i know ;] I'm just gonna get a blackberry instead ;] cheaper in my opinion.
Wooah. That sucks hairy balls. I have a phone that perfect 4 me, no contract crap. Bought it for full price on Orange network. Sony Erricson W350i. It holds 470 of my fav songs so that about just under 2GB. Thats good though for me! =] Im still 14 tho lol.

Man That is total bullshit but still I don't have a phone and I am in Junior high my mom does not want to get me one cause she says it is something about learning how to pay your own bills or some other crap
@kidmoma2 nope..I don't have a contract, that's why I have to buy the phone at full price.
uumm i don't know i would prolly just wait to buy the new sidekick.

i would check and see if you can renew your contract and get a phone credit to use toward the new sidekick
