so my last Papa Roach show was this past weekend. let me tell you it was the perfect way to end my final set of Papa Roach shows this year :) after the two i'd gone to the weekend before i was pretty much wiped out money wise and was stressing about how i'd be finding a hotel. luckily Beth, who i met for the first time at the Corpus Christi PR show, contacted me a few days before and let me stay with her and her friend in their hotel. so got all my stuff ready the night before, made another shirt to rock and went to bed early.

it was a 5hr drive to Youngstown from Kzoo and the check-in time for the Papa Roach VIP Meet & Greet was 3pm. i also wanted to get in line early so i got up at 5am and was on the road by 6. i made great time, met up with Beth and friend at the hotel then got down to the venue!
luckily i got there just in time, only two people in front of us but it seemed like as soon as we were in line all the other VIPs showed up too. we were in line for awhile but the wait was quite interesting ;)

(me & Beth :)
so we get taken into the Venue sometime after 4, there were some sound issues so they did the M&G before the sound check this time. there were A LOT of VIPs and it took forever to get through everyone. while waiting for my turn Katie checked out the photos i'd taken in the handmade frames i'd made to give the guys

they loved them :) they were all trying to take each others photo...Jacoby wanted Jerry's, Tony wanted Tobin's :P hehe. then i showed Jacoby the tattoo i'd gotten from the crackhead he'd drawn on my arm at the Detroit M&G, he thought that was awesome :) my tat was actually a big hit all around! Jacoby drew one for another girl then told her to find me so she could check mine out. Katie called me back in so she could see it as well, then i talked with her a bit about A7X and all the shows i goto for them too. i'll post new pics of the tat when they get the Meet & Greet photos up, they got a great pic of Jacoby holding his next to mine :)
after waiting for the the M&G to be over we get taken to the stage for the sound check. luckily someone had requested State Of Emergency, one of my favorite songs off Metamorphosis :):) never did i think i'd get to see this song live, it was really an experience for me. nothing i can put into words, the song just has a special meaning to me. so glad i was able to record the whole thing
after sound check the venue was pretty confused about what to do with us :P they didn't want to let us stay so told us all to goto the lobby. then let us back in BUT wouldn't let us up by the barricade. in all the shuffle a lot of the people who had been at the front of the line didn't end up at the front of the stage. but i made sure i didn't let that happen to me and managed to get pretty much front row center for my 8th Papa Roach show. front row for every show of their's i've been to :)
so at this venue there was a full service BAR in between the barricade and the stage?! i was like...wtf?? it was weird but pretty cool and i took advantage of it by ordering a couple drinks ;) at first i thought it meant Jacoby wasn't going to be able to come out in the crowd but after the first band's lead singer walked on the bar during their last song i knew Coby would probably be doing the same. Kill Hannah played next and even though i really like Jet i was happy when i realized they weren't playing and Papa Roach was on next!
WOW!!! that is pretty much the only word to describe what took place on the stage from the second they walked out till it was all over. definitely the best performance i've seen from them and that's saying a lot! they just tear shit up every time. it was totally crazy. Broken Home was only the second song they played and you can tell how much energy they had right from the start
Jacoby came out to the crowd more often then i'd seen him before, and i must of had the best spot ever! he seemed to stop right in front of me whenever walking on the bar. the first time he just jammed out in front of me. the second time he sang right to me during the song grabbing onto my arm where he'd put the tattoo. the guy next to me said later he thought Coby was gonna pull me up there :) haha...i only wish ;)
later on i caught a water bottle he'd taken a swig off of and threw at me. this was HUGE for me :):) never in my life have i caught anything at a show, all the picks and stuff i get have been either put right in my hand or given to the bouncers to give to me. it was actually a goal i had going in so i was happier than ever by the end of the show.
only got a few good pics at this one

after the show i went to wait by the buses, Beth and her friend went back to the hotel (they had some REAL VIP going on so had already gotten more pics with the guys!) so i chilled with other fans. i met some really cool people :) everyone was really nice. Tony was the first to come out. had him sign my Riot shirt since he was they only one that hadn't. then he asked me "so when are we seeing you next?"...:) i love the fact that they just expect to see me at the next show since i've seen them every month since July :P but i tell him "this'll probably be my last one for the year". we get a pic together

after Tony leaves it takes quite awhile for the rest of the guys to come out. Jacoby was next :):) i snapped a few pics for other fans with him till i got my turn. i have him sign my VIP pass, while he does i say "so this is probably the last time you'll be seeing me for awhile..." he stops writing and looks at me with this expression on his face...i don't even know how to describe it. he looked kind of disappointed :P so i say "i might make it to the show on December 9th but most likely this is my last of the year." he says "well damn...i better give you a good hug, huh?" and did he ever :):):)

like he was holding me forever :):) he was saying stuff to me too...stuff i can't even remember cause i was so wrapped up in how awesome it was :P he was even like "oh, we're suppose to be taking a pic. sorry i'm hugging you to long." of course i say "whatever, hug me as much as you want!" so we got a few more photos as well

me Jacoby and Judy, i met her while we waited by the buses and she took the epic hug pic :) Jacoby was being real silly, kept looking & pointing into the sky saying "you gotta look out there" :)
unfortunately it was getting late so i didn't wait for the rest of the guys to show. had a 5hr drive back to kzoo the next morning so i was pretty much done. i even found out where the after party all the bands were going to was at...and didn't go :P i would've fallen asleep in the corner. hehe. so that's it guys. my final gig blog for the year, but HOLY SHIT what a year it has been. photo passes for A7X, meet & greets with Papa Roach, finding and staying in touch with new friends in different states all because of the bands out there that make my world go round. i can't thank them enough for totally changing my life. i owe a lot to Avenged Sevenfold and Papa Roach and i can only hope all my dedication and love shows them how much appreciate them and everything they do.

Its not her real hair :)) Shes buying extensions made out of a synthetic material called Kanekalon. it comes in tons of colors and you can do lot's with it. if you've ever worn Syn Dreads that's probably what they were made from. you can find it at a lot of different places online but i order from www.doctoredlocks.com
