Went to this show yesterday and it was a blast. Papa Roach, The Offspring, and Saliva were the best of the day imo. Setlist was something like this. Order may be slightly off.
Angels and Insects
To Be Loved
Lifeline
Murder
Forever
Time Is Running Out
Hollywood Whore
Dead Cell
Almost Told You
Broken Home
Scars
Last Resort
Was hoping to hear Change or Die live but was surprised to get Dead Cell. Great show all in all tho.
One other thing tho...I can't quite understand some people on here complaining about moshing in the pit...Papa Roach plays heavy music people! If there is a pit, that's a good crowd, not a bad one. The band wants to see people going crazy, not standing around with their thumb up their ass. I personally don't like the pits so I get a reserved seat or in smaller clubs, I stay back where I'm able to enjoy myself. A little common sense goes a long way.
It was absolutley amazing!
I've always liked Papa Roach but after seeing them live i LOVE them :D
And Jacoby was DAMN FINE :D
so i have a story about this. my friend went to the concert for some band that wasn't pr, and he comes back and goes, i can see why you like papa roach, he's really good. PAPA ROACH IS NOT A HE. sigh.
I was there yesterday... sec 102, 4th row, behind the pit.
Went to see the Offspring, and the rest, for a good day of rock. Papa Roach blew me away. Of course I knew three of their songs but count me as a fan now. I think it happened hearing "To Be Loved". Great guitar, bassist with an attitude, and non-stop drums. Yeah saved the best for last -- Shaddix was unbeleivable. Such energy, great vocals, seemed like he wanted to play the rest of the night if he could.
No doubt all who read this site are veterans, so I'll give you a novice's point fo view:
I've seen alot of bands, some unfortuantely who seem to mail it in - as in it's now just a job for them. These guys are (still) having a good time. Horton simply shredded... while singing every lyric without a mic. In a four man band the bass player is so much more important -- and that dude kept the beat all night, more like a rythym guitarist, and had that atiitude, sort of like "you lookin' at me"?
But Shaddix... lost track of him for a while. Turned around and he was running into the stands so the fans in the cheap seats could get a glimpse. Dude must burn off a few thousand calories a set. Again, he believes in what he does and made more than a few converts last night, and he is a champ at spitting. And I guess the roadies do make a difference because the sound was great, which it wasn't for Puddle of Mud who preceded them.
So for the faithful here -- downloaded Paramour and Getting last night, and will move on from there. But "To be Loved"... if that doesn't get you, you've already flatlined and the doc is calling the time of death.
Good to get surprised every once and a while.
this is bout the camden show for those who posted OTHER expriences! lol JK....they always ROCK live!
Once again, the boys put on a great show. I was on the rail right in front of Jerry. It was nice to hear Had Enough live. Got a bunch of great pics on my myspace page if anyone is interested.
I gotta say, for the 8th time seein PR in 2 years (I'm starting to feel like a stalker), they NEVER disappoint. I'd go a million more!
Yeah there wasn't any moshing in the pit but he noticed that there was onw up in the lawn. I think that there was no moshing during Papa Roach because everyone was too into it and wanted to see their performance. During The Offspring, there was moshing everywhere so I didn't see a lot of their performance. I know they like it when people mosh, but I'm sure they were happy with what they got from the crowd.
Jacoby spits more than anyone I have ever seen.
