Warning to Anyone Planning to Attend the (October 15) Show @ Freedom Hall in (Johnson City, Tn)

I would like to bring to your attention the following information concerning the
upcoming (October 15) concert for PAPA ROACH, SEETHER, and STAIND @ Freedom Hall
Civic Center in (Johnson City, TN). As you read the attachments, you will
understand why I, along with several other consumers, cannot patronize that facility after dealing with the rudeness of Freedom Hall's director, Ms. Chamness and the other event staff at that facility.

Please read the letter I composed to the Freedom Hall Director (Ms. Chamess) the
day after the (March 8th) show for (Seether, 3 Days Grace, and Breaking
Benjamin) and subsequent correspondence with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
These documents should give you an idea of the total Lack of Commitment to
Customer Service and Business Mismanagement by the Freedom Hall Administration.
It is also noted in the report with the BBB that Freedom Hall is NOT an
established member of their organization.

I would like you to take this information in consideration when planning any
future events at that arena and to let you know what you will be dealing with on
October 15th.

Here is the letter I composed immediately following that event:

Attention: Freedom Hall Administration

We wish to express our complete disappointment concerning the March 8, 2008 concert for Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, and Seether.
As we arrived at the Civic Center parking area, an event staff employee asked for $ 5.00. We paid the man started to pull up in line, when he said, “This parking lot is full, so you will have to drive up the hill toward the tennis courts and take a right toward the houses.” He said for us to drive around the residential area until we can find somewhere to park.

I want to know why we were still required to pay $5.00 for parking when we actually parked on a back street in front a private residence that has nothing to do with the Civic Center.

I (Sammy) had purchased three tickets online (01-31-08) for $124.90. The tickets were specifically for “FLOOR” seating as stated on the web site and were more expensive than the balcony and upper level seats. The web site offered the specific option and price level for the three areas.

As we arrived to the arena we located the floor area entrance and proceeded to go down. We were stopped by two event staff personnel and asked to show our “wrist bands.” We were not aware that any wrist bands were necessary. No where on the web site was there any mention of a wrist band requirement, nor was this brought to attention when the tickets were picked up personally at the box office in February. These event staff employees then informed us that since we had no wrist band, we would have to go somewhere else, but offered no explanation as to where that would be.

I told the employees that we had specifically paid a premium price just for that section. They said that only 1500 people could go into the pit and that those without wrist bands were not allowed.

This is an obvious sign that the event was (over-booked), as there should have been room for us having purchased our tickets in January.

From what I could tell, we were definitely not the only people having this problem, as a continuous stream of customers were told that they could not go to their place on the floor.

Not knowing what to do, we attempted to navigate the crowded pedestrian walkway between the two tiers of seating above the floor section. This “walkway” was completely crammed-full, as everyone who could not go to the floor congregated around the rail, standing shoulder to shoulder, to attempt to view the performance.

“Rude” event staff employees began waving and shining bright flashlights in the eyes of the customers and ordering them to leave the area and find somewhere else to sit, but again offered no suggestion as to where people could go. I have had laser eye surgery, and this was very traumatic for my eyes. I was personally elbowed in the side by one of these rude individuals. This appeared to be bordering on personal assault. I asked this individual if I could get a refund for my ticket and he said, “I am just an usher and I don’t have anything to do with that,” I then asked him who I should go to and he just shrugged his shoulders and said go find a seat.

We continued to patrol the walkways in an attempt to find a place to sit before the next act. We were funneled to the far back area of the arena toward a section which was previously roped off. There was an event staff employee there cutting the yellow caution tape directly behind the stage and motioning for people to sit in this area.

We reluctantly proceeded behind the stage and quickly realized there was no visibility, as there was a huge black curtain in back of the stage. The acoustics there were horrible. We had absolutely zero visibility and poor audibility. At this point, we felt we had no choice but to leave.

I am writing to request a full refund for the tickets ($ 124.90) and parking ($ 5.00), as this was a most unpleasant event and we were extremely disappointed with the entire experience.

I know that Freedom Hall prides itself on customer satisfaction and goodwill with its patrons. I am confident that the Freedom Hall administration will work to rectify this matter.

Another example of business mismanagement on behalf of Freedom Hall: http://www.foxtricities.com/news/newsread .asp?newsid=9226

I would certainly plan to attend and Seether show in the area where I live, but after reviewing this information, you can certainly understand why I cannot attend any event at that facility.

I've been counting the days down til Metamorphosis comes out and whilst reading on Wikipedia it said that the track "Hollywood Whore" is being released today (17th September 2008.)

Family Pics

I'm new to the board and just making my way around.
Does the band share pictures of their families? Or are they private about that part of their lives?
I'd love to see the guys significant others/kids etc but I also respect their privacy if it's stuff they don't want to share...
Peace

crue fest review that made me laugh lol

this is a review of a crue fest stop in canada and i gotta say, it just made me laugh. =]

Papa Roach gave it their all in their segment, an intense, harsh, angry set that hardcore fans lapped up. Lead man Jacoby Shaddix (AKA Coby Dick, AKA Jonny Vodka, and on and on) was impossible not to watch. He's the hyper guy at the party, in your face and bouncing off the walls, making sure everybody is having a good time -- or else. He loves his job, he said. But he hates beachballs. When one bounced onto the stage he ran after it, bit it open and tossed it aside. Fittingly, he was singing Scar at the time ("tear my heart open just to feel"). "If there's anything I can't stand at rock shows is (expletive) beach balls,'' Shaddix said in one of his expletive-filled comments on this expletive-filled night. He dedicated one song to all the "dirty girls'' in the crowd. You know you're at a rock show when this is taken as a compliment.

gosh, i had no idea coby hated beach balls lmao.
